We learned about The Purpose: the true purpose of God's Word is to reveal the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. "The scriptures were not given to increase our knowledge, but to change our lives."

This week in Jammers, 123Go, and Highway 45 we started a new unit God's Word: Who, What, Where, When & Why. We learned about The Person: or the trinity - God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit descended from heaven to equip Jesus for His ministry while on earth and God's voice from heaven was the ultimate support of Jesus' mission. God did not send His Son to punish or confuse us, but to save us through the one PERSON He chose to save us - Jesus Christ.

We learned about The Process, or the origin of the Bible and how God actually gave us His written Word. We can be sure that the Bible is not the clever word of men, but actually the Holy Word of God!

This week in Jammers, 123Go, and Highway 45 we all learned about love. We read the greatest love story ever told which is Jesus dying on the cross for our sins because he loves us so much. He didn't just tell us all how much he loved us, he showed us through his actions. Our motto for the week is: We show love by our actions.

We read the story of King David in 2 Samuel 9, he chose to be kind and offer his home to crippled man named Mephibosheth. This week in 123 Go we picked back up on our Berry Blast Theme Park lesson, this week's main point was patience and waiting without complaining. We learned that David had patience while waiting for his son to build the Temple in 1 Chronicles 22.

This week in Highway 45 we continued memorizing the books of the bible. We started working on flash cards to help make memorizing all the books a little easier. This week's books are: Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1 & 2 Samuel, 1 Kings.

Today in Jammers we continued to learn more about Jesus. We can worship Jesus. Please look in your child's bag for more information.

This week in 123 Go we picked back up on our Berry Blast Theme Park lesson, this week's main point was self-control and thinking of what God wants me to do before I act. We don't always think before we say or do things, and sometimes that can have terrible consequences or hurt people we care about. Sometimes we just need to stop and think about what would God want from us and we'd all be much better off.

This week in Highway 45 we started memorizing the books of the bible. We will be focusing on five books at a time, I don't want to overwhelm the kids but at the same time I thinking having each book from both the Old and New Testament memorized is important and something that the kids will use for the rest of their lives. So parents, if you could please help your children memorize their five books every week it would be a huge help to me Sunday mornings. This week is: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.
