What we learned Sunday, July 4th 2010

Kids Night Out begins this week!

ALL kids birth - 5th grade are welcome to our six week adventure called Mission Possible as we look at how kids can make a difference! Every Wednesday night from 6:30-8pm, July 7th - August 11th. To register go here: http://events.constantcontact.com/register/event?oeidk=a07e2y8fktv85b9958c

This week in Animal J.a.m. we are learning more about God. In our two year old classroom we learned how God is strong and helps us. God helps His people today, just like He helped Moses and the Israelites. In our 3 and 4 year old classroom we learned that we God is our friend who guides us. We heard the story of Elijah and how God guided him to a new source of water. This story can be found in 1 Kings 17:7-10
Today in Jammers we learned about Thanking God. God has given us so much, we need to show Him our thanks. For activities and more information about the story, please refer to your take home page in your child's bag.

This week in 123 Go, we learned that God gives me freedom. We learned how we have the freedom to come to church and worship God, as well as the freedom to choose to make the right decision or the wrong decision. God has given us the freedom to choose, and we should make the right choice!

Memory Verse (worth 5 Action Bucks):

So if the Son of Man sets you free,

you will really be free.

John 8:36 (NIrV)
*If your child has already memorized this verse in another version, I will accept that as well.

Special Assignment (worth 10 Action Bucks):
This week complete this sentence: God has given me the freedom to choose. I will choose to do what is right, even if it is hard when...

This week in Highway 45, we learned that God has given us freedom! This week the memory verse is the same as 123 Go!

So if the Son of Man sets you free,

you will really be free.

John 8:36 (NIrV)
*If your child has already memorized this verse in another version, I will accept that as well.

It was a great discussion as we talked about the privilege of living in America and all that God has blessed us with.
