What we learned, Sunday November 7th

DON'T FORGET this Sunday we are having our big celebration service at the park. It starts at 10am, bring a lunch and enjoy a fun time together afterwards! Dean-o will be there and it will be tons of fun!

Baptisms will be happening November 21st! If your child is interested in being baptized, please contact Alexa.

This week in Animal J.a.m. our 2 year olds learned about God making them and the things around them our 3&4 year olds learned about God making the earth. Please look at your take home sheets for more information
Today in Jammers are learning that God made the world. We learned that God made night and day! Please look in your child's bag for more information.

This week in 123 Go, we talked about goodness. Goodness is pleasing God with what we think say and do. We talked about David and how he pleased God so much that God chose him to be the next king from 1 Samuel 16.

Memory Verse (worth 5 Action Bucks):

“The Lord approves of those who are good, but he condemns those who plan wickedness." Proverbs 12:2
(NLT)

*If your child has already memorized this verse in another version, I will accept that as well.

Secret word this week is: No secret word this week see you at the park!

This week in Highway 45 we discussed that being popular and saying yes to things we know are wrong is not as great as it may seem. Most people want to have lots of friends and be popular but sometimes that can come at a price, like making fun of someone just because they are different. We learned from Samson and Delilah that giving up something (or someone) you love in exchange for money, popularity, or power is wrong. God gave each of us a special gift, that makes each one of us unique in some way, so why would we want to spend so much time blending into the crowd? This week's memory verse I left up to the kids, since each one of them is special and unique, I wanted them each to pick out a verse that meant something to them individually.
