What we learned, Sunday October 10th

KID'S NIGHT OUT is each WEDNESDAY! Join us for Basic Training, as we learn about the 10 commandments. Each Wednesday night from 6:30-8pm until 10/27.

4th and 5th graders, come out THIS FRIDAY, October 15th from 6:00-9:00 for our Highway 45 Pumpkin Painting event. Don't forget your mini-pumpkin to decorate!

This week in Animal J.a.m. our 2 year olds learned about God making them and the things around them our 3&4 year olds learned about God making the earth. Please look at your take home sheets for more information
Today in Jammers we continued to learn more about Jesus. We learned the Jesus takes care of us! Please look in your child's bag for more information.

This week in 123 Go, we talked about how important we are to the church. Each person has special gifts and talents that we can use to serve others in the church. In God's eyes we are all equal and we all need to participate and be at church to make it work the best way it can. We heard the story of God having the Israelites build a tabernacle. They all worked together and used gifts God had given them. You can read more about this story in Exodus 25-26.

Memory Verse (worth 5 Action Bucks):
God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. 1 Peter 4:10
*If your child has already memorized this verse in another version, I will accept that as well.

Special Assignment (worth 10 Action Bucks):
Discussion questions:
1) Why is it important for me to be at church every week?
2) What gifts do I have? How can I use them to serve others?
3) Parents share a time when you have used your gifts to serve others.

Parents sign a paper that lets me know you talked about these questions to receive your Action Bucks!

Secret word this week is: PROMISE

This week in Highway 45 we discussed the importance of trusting God, even when bad things happen to us. All of us at some point in time have had something really bad happen to them; but that does not mean that God is punishing us or that he doesn't love us, God has a plan for everything he does. Even though it maybe be difficult to understand what His plan is, we just need to give everything to Him and trust Him fully. This week's memory verse is "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." Proverbs 3:5

And don't forget this Friday October 15th from 6:00-9:00 is our Highway 45 Pumpkin Painting event. Just bring a small pumpkin to paint and we'll provide the food and fun, see you then!
