What we learned Sunday, October 3rd

KID'S NIGHT OUT is each WEDNESDAY! Join us for Basic Training, as we learn about the 10 commandments. Each Wednesday night from 6:30-8pm for 8 weeks.

FAMILY FUN NIGHT is THIS FRIDAY night from 6:30-8:30 pm. Bring a dessert to share, and come to enjoy games for all ages. Click here to let us know your coming!

This week in Animal J.a.m. our 2 year olds learned about God making them and the things around them our 3&4 year olds learned about God making the earth. Please look at your take home sheets for more information
Today in Jammers we continued to learn more about Jesus. We learned the Jesus takes care of us! Please look in your child's bag for more information.

This week in 123 Go, we talked about Loving God and Loving others! God gave us the 10 commandments to help us love God and love others better. The first 4 commandments help us show love to God, and the second 6 help us show love to others. You can read the story of God giving the Moses the 10 commandments in Exodus 19:1 - 20:21.

Memory Verse (worth 15 Action Bucks):
“Jesus replied, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” Matthew 22:37-39 (NLT)
*If your child has already memorized this verse in another version, I will accept that as well.

Special Assignment (worth 10 Action Bucks):
Discussion questions:
1) Why did God give us the 10 commandments?
2) What are some ways I can so my love to God?
3) How can I show love to others this week?

Parents sign a paper that lets me know you talked about these questions to receive your Action Bucks!

Secret word this week is: CHURCH

This week in Highway 45 we discussed how Jesus is with us everywhere, no matter where we go or what we do. My dare for the kids this week is: Every time they change location, and I do mean every time-- when they leave their bedroom for breakfast or leave their house for school or leave school for soccer practice-- whenever and wherever we go, remember that God is with us, and thank him for always being with us. This week's memory verse is "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)
