What we learned Sunday, August 29th

KID'S NIGHT OUT is coming September 8th! Join us for Basic Training, as we learn about the 10 commandments. Each Wednesday night from 6:30-8pm for 8 weeks. Register this Sunday!

PARENT'S NIGHT OUT is September 10th, for just 5$ your children can enjoy pizza and a night of fun with friends. Pre-Registration is required no later than Wednesday September 8th!

This week in Animal J.a.m. we are learning more about God. In our two year old classroom we learned how God is strong. God helps His people today, just like He helped Moses and the Israelites. In our 3 and 4 year old classroom we about Jonah, the story can be found in Jonah 1:1-3 and on your take home page.
Today in Jammers we learned about giving cheerfully. For activities and more information about the story, please refer to your take home page in your child's bag.

This week in 123 Go, we learned to share Jesus with others. Paul dedicated his life to sharing the Good News with others. It is important for us to tell others about Jesus too!

Memory Verse (worth 5 Action Bucks):
Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you." 2 Timothy 4:5c
(NLT)
*If your child has already memorized this verse in another version, I will accept that as well.

Special Assignment (worth 10 Action Bucks):
This week: How can you tell someone else about Jesus? Share Jesus with someone and then write down who you shared Jesus with. Have your parent sign it and bring it to me (Pastor Ashley) on Sunday.

Secret word this week is: TRUST

This week in Highway 45 we discussed the importance of asking for forgiveness and forgiving those even when they don't ask to be forgiven. Sometimes we just aren't aware that we've hurt someone or we don't think we need forgiveness or maybe we are just too afraid to ask for it. But this week I have dared the kids that the next time someone hurts them and doesn't ask for forgiveness, they should treat them with kindness and forgive them anyway. That's what God does. It all goes back to that old familiar saying, treat others the way you would want to be treated. This weeks memory verse is “For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” Matthew 6:14
